This project in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village transformed a raw commercial space into a loft comprising a primary bedroom, a media-guest room, and a great room with living, dining and kitchen designed for entertaining. The kitchen is clad in stainless steel and European walnut with a french marble counter that surrounds a mirrored polished steel face that angles to reflect the fumed oak floor and clear acrylic stools. The living area features a silk herringbone rug by Fort Street Studio, a custom crushed velvet sofa and lacquered media console. In the bedroom, an eel-skin leather headboard sits on a celadon silk rug while the media guest room includes a mid-20th-century Italian glass pendant and raked-plaster walls. Calacatta marble slabs and floating glass walls define the bathrooms.
